City on Our Knees

This video played during a live performance of the song "City on Our Knees" at Peoples Church on Sunday.
Given it's content, I've been surprised by how well it's been received.

The Well joins forces with Peoples Church

I've been working with my friends at The Well Community Church on their ongoing Song of Solomon series, serving as director of photography. This one we shot in the Peoples Church wedding chapel, and I felt like it turned out very well.
(Shot this on an EX-1 with a Letus35 adapter, btw)

Announcements

See what kind of tomfoolery I've been getting into with the church's announcement videos each week. This one played last Sunday.

And no, there were no 3D glasses.

Christmas stuff

"Asculta" Week 1 Prologue from Peoples Church, Fresno on Vimeo.

I created several video prologues for Peoples Church's 2009 Christmas show, which spanned four weeks and four different eras of a man's life. This one played during the first week, and leads up to the birth of the protagonist. Probably few people would have picked up on this, but a montage sequence from Raging Bull provided the inspiration for these pieces. Yes, that's right, I referenced a Scorsese film in a church Christmas play. The music you hear is a recording of the live orchestral arrangement by Doug Holck, who wrote the show.

Samba Brazilian Steakhouse - TheGuysWhoLikeToEat

Our latest restaurant adventure (which we shot back in March or some such time!). Samba was outstanding. Not only was the owner and the staff extremely hospitable and helpful, but the food was terrific. The buffet alone nearly merits the dinner price, but the all-you-can-eat barbecue put this restaurant in a class all its own. I highly recommend it if you ever get the chance.

As for the episode, I think it's possibly less funny than some of the preceding ones, but ironically also perhaps the most informative. I don't know...
